Why are they monitoring grown folks lunch times?

Let me start off by saying that I have a degree, am 24 years old, and work in a professional environment where I am a full time salaried employee. Most would think that I have it made and have a little more flexibility with coming and going as long as I get my work done. Not in Admission - we have the "Work Nazis." We don't know who they are exactly but they watch us carefully throughout the day. They know if we come in late and monitor our breaks. And heres the kicker, we have assigned lunch times - my lunch time is 11:45 am - 12:45 pm. One hour on the dot. The last time I had assigned lunch was when I was at Fort Rucker Elementary School. And don't let someone come back late because that is not fair to the rest of the office. And we ask "why do we have assigned lunch?" Here is the response "So we can make sure that we have enough counselors in the office during the lunch hour." I think we are grown enough to figure this out for ourselves, rather than have an assigned lunch time, what is the best time to go to lunch. In conclusion, I think after 4 years of school, 2 years of work experience, and being a full time salaried employee, I should at least be able to eat when I wants to.
